Welcome to Joe Townhill's Junior Golf Academy
The JTJGA is based at Brough Golf Club in East Yorkshire. The club boasts an excellent clubhouse and course with practice facilities. The membership and committee of the club are supportive of junior golf and have made a lot of effort in recent years to keep in line with National Governing Body recommendations. This commitment to development of young golfers gained recognition in 2007 when the club recieved the Golfmark Award from the English Golf Union for good practice in coaching , club environment and child protection.

The coaching programme allows children from the age of 5 the opportunity to get started in golf in a friendly group environment with expert tuition from PGA qualified coaches.
The Junior Golf Passport endorsed by the Golf Foundation is used to provide a learning structure with five levels of achievement. As pupils progress taking part in the popular tournament series is encouraged.

All children are welcome to join the coaching programme regardless of age and ability. It is not unusual for beginners to join in group sessions. I always make sure newcomers are made to feel welcome and work on gradually on building their confidence as they progress. You don't need to have equipment to have lessons , there are plenty of clubs available to borrow for all different ages.
